A complete, residential training program of SevAyu Ayurveda, Cuba, spanning over three months equips aspiring panchakarma therapists with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to guide individuals through the transformative journey of Panchakarma.


The course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Ayurvedic principles, Panchakarma techniques, and therapeutic interventions. Participants undergo rigorous training under the guidance of experienced Ayurvedic practitioners, gaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for administering Panchakarma treatments effectively and ethically. The course curriculum encompasses a blend of classroom lectures, hands-on practical training, case studies, and supervised clinical experiences.


SevAyu Ayurveda Cuba is a beautiful 90-acre property, complete with advanced Panchakarma equipment. Course participants will enjoy a luxurious stay on campus with freshly prepared meals from our Ayurvedic kitchen on the premises and will have full access to the resort's amenities, such as the swimming pool, tennis and badminton courts, yoga and meditation rooms, and a gym.

 

Key Components of the Course:

  • Theoretical Foundations: Participants delve into the basic theoretical foundations of Ayurveda and panchakarma, including fundamental concepts of doshas (vata, pitta, kapha), dhatus (tissues), and malas (waste products), panchakarma therapeutic benefits, contraindications, and the importance of individualized treatment protocols.

 

  • Panchakarma Techniques: Participants learn the specific techniques and procedures involved in each stage of Panchakarma therapy, including preparatory therapies (Purva Karma), main therapies (Pradhana Karma), and post-treatment measures (Paschat Karma). This includes detailed instructions on therapies such as Abhyanga (oil massage), Swedana (sweating therapy), Basti (enema therapy), Nasya (nasal therapy), and more.

 

  • Herbal Medicine and Formulations: Participants gain knowledge of Ayurvedic herbs, their medicinal properties, and therapeutic applications. They learn to prepare herbal decoctions, oils, pastes, and formulations used in Panchakarma treatments, as well as how to customize formulations based on individual needs and imbalances.

 

  • Practical Training and Supervised Clinical Practice: Hands-on practical sessions allow participants to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life scenarios. Under the supervision of experienced practitioners, they administer Panchakarma therapies to clients, gaining proficiency in technique, communication, and patient care. Case studies and group discussions provide opportunities for reflection, feedback, and continuous learning.

 

  • Ethics and Professionalism: The course emphasizes the importance of ethical practice, professionalism, and maintaining client confidentiality. Participants learn about boundaries, consent, communication skills, and the importance of establishing trust and rapport with clients.

     

    Upon successful completion of the 3-month Panchakarma course, participants are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to embark on a career as a Panchakarma therapist. They receive certification from SevAyu Cuba, recognizing their training and competency in administering Panchakarma therapies.
